The National University of Singapore Muslim Society (NUSMS) has been consistently promoting activities that assist in promoting understanding and integration between the various communities present in NUS.
A greater communal spirit can be achieved through first hand exposure to the lifestyle and religious practices of Muslims. We hope to achieve this through our exhibition, talks and visits to mosques in Singapore, along with religious centres of education and the religious authority in Singapore (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura – MUIS). This programme will go great lengths in promoting a culture of respect.
OBJECTIVES
1. To present the fundamental principles and tenets of Islam to the NUS community and general public
2. To promote dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims
3. To dispel misconceptions about Islam
4. To promote greater cooperation between the NUS Muslim Society and other religious societies within NUS
