Assalaaamualaykum everyone!

I pray the wet weather has not dampened any of your moods insyaAllah! If it has, here’s something to perk you up:

Anas ibn Malik said, “While we were with the Prophet of Allah, upon him be peace, it began to rain. The Prophet opened his cloak so that the rain could fall on him. We asked, ‘Why did you do that?”

The Prophet replied, “It has been with its Lord very recently.”

So if you are caught in the torrential rains these few days, take a moment to reflect on where the rain was from and feel its blessings instead of cursing about your day or your shoes being spoilt.

What you could do instead is to make supplication!

Narrated Sahel Ibn Sa’ad RA: that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:
‘Two will not be rejected, supplication when the Adhan (call of prayer) is being called, and at the time of the rain’.

Use this time to enjoy the cool weather, make lots of du’a, and do some charity by being a good samaritan by sharing your umbrella with fellow brothers or sisters! A good deed begets a good deed, and you never know how Allah will reward you for small acts of kindness such as these.

You could also recite this short du’a for when it rains:

It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (radiAllahu anha) who said that when the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) saw rain he would say:

Allahuma sayyiban naafi’an
(Oh Allah make it a beneficial rain cloud )

Have a blessed week ahead!
