Divine Inspirations by Madrasah Aljunied Angklung Ensemble
In 2008, Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah formed its first ever angklung ensemble in Singapore. This proved to be first of its kind, and angklung ensemble formed by an Islamic Learning institution. The ensemble focuses mainly on Islamic Spiritual genre as well as New Age music.
The formation of this ensemble has only enabled the students to appreciate the aesthetics of music by the beatuy of the instrument as well. Simultaneously, it has helped the students to develop a sense of camaraderie and enhanced teamwork within the group though music. Through this album, the first to be played on a traditional instrument such as the angklung. Proceeds from this album such as the angklung.
Proceeds from this album wil be channeled to the Madrasah Aljunied Student Building Fund. This find helps the less fortunate students twith their tuition fees and other stududents activities which will enchance their learning throughout their duration in this esteemed institution.
