Muhammad Salman Bin Mohamed Khair is currently an undergraduate at National University of Singapore (NUS), studying Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

The pictures attached were all taken at Masjid Abdul Hamid Kampung Pasiran on Hari Raya Aidil Adha. I asked the Chairman of the mosque if I could help with anything for korban and he suggested that I could help him capture everything in photographs. I grabbed that opportunity because I have never photographed a Korban on this significant date in the Islamic calendar before.

The meaning of “Divine Sacrifice” lies purely in their eyes. I wanted to take a snapshot at the eye level of the sheep to capture the details of their facial features, but the emotions in their eyes captured me the most.

Their latest training regime to turn boys to men? One of the volunteers that day was wearing the trousers of the old SAF Uniform. I wanted to compare and contrast the legs of the sheep and his. This photograph is meant to be a ‘tongue in cheek’.

Selamat Hari Rayeeeeeee *sheepish grin* The sheeps, keeping a distance from the volunteers, seem to be coming towards me because they wanted to have their picture taken, joked one of the volunteers.
