Its 1st of April and its a day that some people might play practicas jokes on you. By now you would or not have received forwarded emails telling you that the April Fool was actually derive from the downfall of Muslims in Spain centuries back.
However we are still not certain that there is any truth to it. Yes, we know for a fact that the last Muslim Fort was taken over in Spain. There is some truth there but there there is no truth that it had happened on the 1st of April.
If you do happen to receive such emails do not just simply forward them to your friends. You may just end up spurring more anger and hatred.
I’m not saying that we are suppose to celebrate April Fools Day. I’m saying that we should not spread the wrong message and create anger among the ummah. There’s no wisdom in forwarding messages that are unclear and has no historical proofs. If there are any proofs do point us to the references.
So I urge you please do not forward emails blindly.
