The team came in to setup as early as 2am at Fairmount hotel @ Raffles City ( City Hall ). Masjid Darul Makmur hired us to help them with Live streaming their Lunch and Charity event on 14th of July 2024. By 9am, the mosque staff came with all the content updates and by 10am we were ready for the rehearsals.
One of the special technology that we implemented was to show the Live Donation Counter visibly on the Projecter Screen in the Dining Hall and also in Livestream.
Isn’t this not new?
From the perspective of an audience, all they see is numbers going up from the initial amount $0 to $200,000 at the end of the event and this is definitely not new as we have seen this in the President Challenge on TV. However how is it done?
Did you know there was an army of people and technology at the back end to do this?
- As most payments are made directly via PayNow. Only the Mosque Finance department can access the accounts and verify that the amount has been submiited. Once verified they will update the numbers accordingly.
- The numbers are then added to a Google Sheet which is then picked up by our Live Software called VMIX. With some programming and design done, the numbers are presented as you can see above.
This is probably the first time a Mosque in Singapore has done this “Live Donation Counter” and hopefully other mosque will also consider it.#Technology
