The 3 shots were taken at Masjid Alkaff Kg Melayu on Eid Adha itself.
1) “New Carpet” shows the concentration of a volunteer skinning the slaughtered sheep itself.
2) In “Chillin”, I thought it was an interesting shot because the bustling activity in the background is juxtaposed with the calm & composed posture of the sheep leaning against the volunteer. It is as if it is saying, “You guys go on, I’ll just sit right here.”
3) “One for the camera” was a shot that was perfectly timed to capture the volunteer laughing. Although it was a lot of hard work, the volunteers peppered the festive atmosphere with jokes & laughter and this shot managed to seize the moment.
