Zakat helps to nurture the feeling of caring for others and cherishing bonds between Muslims from all walks of life.

In principle, Zakat distributes wealth from those who are better of financially to those who are in need. This distribution helps to reduce any feelings of envy from those in need.

“Yet if they repent and establish prayer and pay the Zakat, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the signs for a people who know.” (Surah At-Taubah: 11)
