MYSPEX is an acronym for Mosque Youth Sports Extravaganza. It is an annual sports event organised by YoungMuslims.sg involving all Mosques in Singapore.
Whether you love sports or the outdoors, want to exercise or just want to support, there are sufficient avenues for you to do so during MYSPEX 08!
These activities will start from the 22nd of June to 12 July will host Futsal, Netball, Badminton, Bowling, Sepak Takraw & Silat competitions! All competitions will be held from 930am till 500pm except for Bowling which will last till 1pm.
When there’s so many sports to choose from, you will be kept busy that day! This competition is for youths aged 21 and below. You may choose to participate under the banner of Mosque Youth Wings (MYWs) or any locale Malay Associations like 4PM, MENDAKI, Ain Society etc.
In a hadith of the Prophet SAW narrated by An-Nasa’ii,
“A strong Mukmin is better and more beloved by Allah than one who is weak”
Those who are healthy are also preferred in matters of leadership as mentioned by Allah Al-Mighty.
“Truly the best of men for you to employ is the (man) who is strong and trusty” (Al-Qasas : 26)
So keep fit, promote a healthy lifestyle and at the same time, convey the dangers of smoking!
