This week’s episode has got to do with health & more importantly, walking or briskwalking. Rasulullah SAW is not only a spiritual guide but a health guide too! From the way he eats & drinks to the way he exercises. This episode shares the secrets behind his walking.

In a hadith (from Shamaa-il Tirmidhi) mentioned in the video, it says “When Rasulullah SAW walked, he bent slightly forward as if he was descending from a high place.”

  1. salam

i would like to share a thought regarding the salutation after mentioning Rasulullah’s name. it seems to be a common practice to simply state the glorified salutation as “S.A.W”. personally, i find that we should take a step further to spell it out as “sollallahu `alaihi wassalam” because otherwise, people who are unfamiliar with the abbreviated version will be wondering “what in the world is SAW??”

yes, it is lengthy we may say, to spell it out each time we mention Rasulullah’s name. but then again, we are talking about the most perfect man in the world, the Habibullah, the savior on yaumul qiyamah… let’s show our love towards Rasulullah by typing a lil bit more, inshaAllah.

the beneficial matters are from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, and the flaws are from myself.

    salam, with warmest regards. 🙂

  3. Assalamualiakum, wr wb

First of all thank you for the thought and share the important issue regarding salutation after mentioning Rasulullah’s name. We will apply it for the next dyn’s episodes insyaAllah. It is important for us not to forget about the little things. Thank you.

Our demographic shows that dyn’s average viewers are between the age 19-31. So we assume that they are familiar with the word S.A.W. But again our friend from department of translation advice us that it is a must to spell it out as it is being widely practice by the christians.

We are hoping dyn’s viewers will not just watch and see instead watch, learn and practice. Because with practicing it automatically shows our love towards our beloved Prophet, Rasulullahi sollallahu `alaihi wassalam.

    Thank you & Wassalam

  5. Salams to all.

Ya ustaz, if we say Rasulullah Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam.

    1. The Sollallahu is a sin or s’ot?

    btw, actually my qns is,
(eventhough the first part is also a qns from me)

    2. Can we substitute, Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam with Sollu ‘alaih?

Coz the situation is, if in class, the teacher is reading a text and it contains many mentioning of Rasulullah, and end of it, there are selawat. So to say it in a quick way, the words just get jumbled up.

    2.1 So is it allowable?

2.2 Wats the difference between Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam with Sollu ‘alaih?

    Advise is needed. Syukran. =o)

  7. W’salam wr wb.

Ok i will try to answer insyaAllah.

    1. The Sollallahu is a sin or s’ot?

    s’ot..

    2. Can we substitute, Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam with Sollu ‘alaih?

2.2 Wats the difference between Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam with Sollu ‘alaih?

First you need to understand the meaning.

Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam means, (may peace and blessing upon him)
Sollu ‘alaih means (together, lets bless him)

We should say Sollallahu ‘alaihi wassalam because this is how Allah subhanahu wata’ala mention in the Quran (surah ahzab: ayah:56) which means.

English: “Verily, God and His angels bless the Prophet: [hence,] O you who have attained to faith, bless him and give yourselves up [to his guidance] in utter self-surrender!”

Malay: “Sesungguhnya Allah dan malaikat-malaikatNya berselawat untuk nabi. Wahai orang yang beriman, ucapkanlah salawat dan salam yang sempurna kepadanya (nabi).”

    (surah ahzab: ayah:56)

Hope this answer will clarify a bit,

    Thank you & Wassalam
